Traffic

The Euclid Municipal Court has jurisdiction over traffic offenses originating in the City of Euclid.

Personal Appearance Required

If your ticket is checked “Personal Appearance Required,” your ticket is not waiverable and you must appear in court.

Waiverable Offenses

Some traffic offenses may be concluded by paying a waiver amount and not appearing in court. A list of waiverable offenses, along with the fine amount and costs, can be found here. Your online payment is due before the court date written on the bottom of your citation. To pay your ticket online, click here. If a person does not waive the violation according to the instructions, they must appear in court as scheduled or a warrant may be issued for their arrest.

Failure to Appear

Failure to appear in court as required will result in the issuance of a warrant for your arrest, and the court will notify the Bureau of Motor Vehicles of your failure to appear. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) will withhold the issuance or renewal of your driver’s license and registration and/or suspend your driving privileges until the case is concluded.

Pay Online

The Euclid Municipal Court accepts payments for most traffic tickets online, in-person or by mail. The following can be paid online:

  • Waiverable Offenses
  • Traffic Fines and Court Costs
  • Pay Plan Payments

Proof of Financial Responsibility

If you are mailing in a waiverable offense, be sure to include a copy of your insurance card that shows the vehicle you were operating was covered on the date of the offense.

At your court appearance, bring proof of insurance that shows the vehicle you were operating was covered on the date of the offense.

If you fail to show proof of insurance at the time of the citation or to the Court, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles will issue a letter to the address shown on your ticket, giving you one last opportunity to show proof of insurance. If you fail to show proof of insurance, the BMV will impose a license suspension.
